REPORTER; so dexter. how old are you?

DEXTER; twenty two, ma'am

REPORTER; so young! how long have you lived here in honolulu.

DEXTER; i grew up here. my parents are from the states, some little town in colorado.

REPORTER; wow they came from so far. so lets get personal. tell us about your first kiss.

DEXTER; well.. i don't honestly know how to explain it. i took this girl i was see out to the zoo and got us a ride on some elephant. she had wanted me to hold on tight to her so she wouldn't fall off and when we were done i helped her down and just kissed her, nothing special.

REPORTER; no thats really sweet! i beat she was thrilled to be kissing such a sweet gentleman like you. what do you do for a living? are you going to school or working?

DEXTER; when my parents died i took over their business. my mom always loved animals and well when they got some land she had started up a stable. for people to come and learn to ride and summer camps. i have kids come and stay for a week at a time and they ride and learn how to take care of their own horse for the week. its a fun program.

REPORTER; thats such a great thing your doing! did you want to go to school or anything?

DEXTER; i did. but when my parents died and i didnt want to lose the one thing that kept us close. i worked for them over the summers when i was in high school. teaching kids to ride and leading trails. i thought about selling the place but when i thought about it, this was the one thing my parents worked so hard on and i couldn't see myself throwing away all the hard work they put into it.


REPORTER; i am sure they are very proud you for all that you are doing.
